Job Title:  Advanced Programs Engineer
Essential Functions/Responsibilities SABIC’s Innovative Plastics business seeks high energy, goal-focused individuals who are proactive in problem solving and have the leadership and communication skills needed to help a diversified global business achieve its goals.

Responsibilities:

As part of our Advanced Programs group, work with scientists to
•Apply electrical testing/characterization expertise to evaluate electrical performance of polymeric systems
•Lead the design, installation and operation of electrical systems including equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
•Work with external vendors and/or universities to specify equipment
•Interface with external test facilities
•Work with product and process development teams to provide critical data needed to commercialize new technologies, optimize or enhance existing products.
•Contribute to innovation and advanced research programs, through method development and application
•Provide technical consultation as needed to product technology related to electrical requirements.

The Exton, PA site is located just outside of Philadelphia.

Qualifications/Requirements:

•BS in mechanical or electrical Engineering with strong interest in polymeric materials.
•Technical expertise in one or more of the following:
Dielectric spectroscopy
Impedance spectroscopy
AC/DC current sources
Thermal/voltage cycling
Polarization vs. electric field
Reliability testing
Mechanical tensile and flexural testing

The candidate will work in the area of energy storage under the direction of a technology leader with particular focus on testing.
•Strong theoretical understanding and demonstrated hands-on experience with effective instrument operation and maintenance.
