Shift QC Analyst - Chemical - East Anglia

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a QC Analyst to join leading chemical company based in the East. As a company they focus on providing innovative manufacturing services to a wide client base in the electronics, chemical, pharma and paint industries; some of whom are major blue chip clients. With continued growth and success this year it is an ideal time to be joining them.

As a Shift QC Analyst you will join the Quality Control Team and you will operate within the batch processing plant. You will be responsible for acting as a shift analyst and using the relevant analytical techniques and instruments such as HPLC and GC to control the production of polymers and find chemicals. More specifically you will carry out QC analysis of raw materials, intermediates & finished chemical products, develop and validate testing methods and maintain and calibrate the analytical equipment. Work will be shift based and will include some night shifts.

To be considered for this position candidates must be educated to BSc level in a relevant scientific subject such as chemistry. This educational background will be coupled with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial chemical laboratory within a QC role, and significant hands-on experience in operating HPLC and GC systems. Candidates must be able to work under minimal supervision on shift and be confident in advising and directing other colleagues in the plant.
