Pharmaceutical Facilities Manager - Ireland
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Pharmaceutical Facilities Manager to join a leading company based in Ireland. As an organisation they renowned internationally for providing innovative services for drug development to leading pharma, biotech and government organisations. They continue to experience rapid growth and success and they operate in over 15 countries worldwide; therefore it is an ideal time to be joining them.
As the Facilities Manager you will report directly to the Site Director and you will be responsible for the technical management of the operation of 2 sites, as well as leading 7 direct reports. You will manage services, utilities, facilities, validation and calibration, and you will be responsible for all plant equipment. Specifically you will maintain and upgrade the facility, manage external contractor services, provide technical support to operations staff for validation documentation, troubleshoot equipment, maintain the facility budget and liaise with clients. This is a varied role with some hands-on work but mainly you will oversee and manage the facility and act as an engineering expert.
To be considered for this position you must be educated to BSc level in a relevant engineering discipline. This will be coupled with at least 3 years' experience working within the pharmaceutical industry to GMP standards. Candidates will have worked within roles such as process engineering, facilities manager, utilities manager, manufacturing manager or maintenance manager. Candidates must also have experience in calibration and validation and be confident in acting as an onsite engineering expert.
